Marcelle-Anne Fletcher

Marcelle-Anne Fletcher is a doctoral candidate in the Social and Political Thought program at York University with a background in gender studies and political science. Her work sits at the intersection of historiography, cultural studies, critical theory, and Black studies. Marcelle-Anne's dissertation explores the ethical, scientific, and geopolitical implications of representing racial slavery and genocide in science museums and their travelling exhibitions. She has guest edited special issues in TOPIA: Canadian Journal of Cultural Studies which feature proceedings from conferences she co-organized such as Map to the Door of No Return at 20 and Care and Cure. She is currently a guest editor for an upcoming issue of South Atlantic Quarterly on Christina Sharpe's Monstrous Intimacies. Her most recent essays can be found in CR: The New Centennial Review and TOPIA.
